The X Factor judge, 54, and his girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, welcomed their first child together on Friday, Feb. 14, his rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.

Son Eric Philip arrived at 5:45 p.m. in New York City and weighed in at 6 lbs., 7 oz.

“Very happy to say Eric was born … Healthy and handsome,” Cowell Tweeted immediately following the official announcement. “Lauren in great shape. Thanks for all of your kind messages. Named after my dad.”

“Lauren is doing great. Her parents are there, along with Simon of course,” a source tells PEOPLE. “They are so excited. Everyone is thrilled. They couldn’t be happier. The baby is gorgeous.”

The July announcement that the couple was expecting a baby together came as a surprise, as Silverman, a New York socialite, was married to Cowell’s close friend, Andrew Silverman. In December the two, who have an 8-year-old son together, finalized their divorce.

“It was kind of uncomfortable. You know, the situation. But these things happen and everything is kind of calm now and I’m happy,” the music mogul said during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The realization that he was going to be a father came when Cowell first saw a scan of his baby on the way — which sources later told PEOPLE was a boy.

“You literally see this thing which is now alive moving around. I feel very paternal right now,” he said following the ultrasound.

And while Silverman was showered with baby gifts during a celebration to honor the upcoming addition, Cowell was busy putting together his own parenting plans.

“There are a lot of boring things that happen when you have a baby. [You have to get rid of] sharp edges, cigarettes, alcohol … then there’s [baby-proofing] the toilet. But I’ll have a smoking room!” he joked.

It’s a girl!

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt welcomed their first child, daughter Hazel, on Sunday, Feb. 16.

The actor, 34, made the happy announcement himself via Twitter.

“Wanted to let the news out directly. Emily and I are so incredibly happy to welcome our daughter Hazel into the world today! Happy bday!” the former Office star writes.

The couple, who were married in 2010, announced the pregnancy in September.

Melissa Harris-Perry had someone new to love on Valentine’s Day: her baby girl!

The MSNBC journalist, 40, and her husband, James Perry, welcomed their first child together, a daughter, on Friday, Feb. 14, the couple announced via Twitter.

“Best Valentine Ever! [James] and I welcomed our daughter yesterday!” the Melissa Harris-Perry host, who is also mom to 12-year-old daughter Parker, writes.

The new dad posted a picture of the couple cradling their bundled baby. “Here’s the wonderful Valentine’s day gift that [Melissa] and I received yesterday! A beautiful baby girl,” he Tweeted.

Run’s House has a new addition.

Rev. Run‘s daughter Vanessa Simmons and her boyfriend Mike Wayans welcomed their first child, daughter Ava Marie Jean, on  the evening of Thursday, Feb. 13, her rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.

Despite their talk of marriage, Simmons and Wayans have yet to tie the knot. Their relationship status played a big part in the mom-to-be’s hesitation to announce the pregnancy.

“There’s this whole idea of first comes the marriage then the baby carriage so I was so nervous,” she said in October, after confirming the couple were expecting a baby girl.

But Simmons received a surprising reaction after she broke the news to her parents.

“Of course [my dad] wants us to get married, but for now he was like, ‘We’re gonna figure this out. Just be happy and have a healthy pregnancy. I’m behind you 100 percent,’” she shared.

The reality star stayed true to his word, showing up to lend his support when Simmons was showered with love during her January baby bash.

“This was such a joyous event for Mike and [me] and our families,” Vanessa, whose future father-in-law is Damon Wayans, told Essence. “The room was filled with so much love and laughter all in honor of our lil angel.”

The Frozen star, 32, and wife Ida Darvish, 39, welcomed their second child, daughter Isabella Eve, on Monday, Feb. 17.

“Mom and baby — aka Joshette Gad — are happy and healthy,” the actor tells USA Today.

It turns out blue is the new black for Jason Biggs!

The Orange Is the New Black star and his wife, Jenny Mollen, welcomed their first child, son Sid, on Saturday, Feb. 15, they announced via Instagram.

Born at 5:33 p.m. in Los Angeles, Sid weighed in at 8 lbs., 8 oz. and is 21¼ inches long.

“Full head of hair, huge penis,” Mollen, 34, jokingly captioned the first photo of their son. “Mom is doing great and a fan of dilaudid (pain reliever).”

She shared the happy news in a series of videos that show the trip to the hospital, the labor, the epidural and the eventual c-section.

“You did amazing, sweetie. I’m so proud of you,” Biggs, 35, says in a clip following the delivery. “He’s beautiful — pretty damn cute.”

Originally due Feb. 4, Mollen had humorously been sharing her frustration with being 41 weeks along.

“I feel like I’ve been pregnant since the mid 90s,” she Tweeted recently, followed by, “I think I might have my second baby before I have my first.”

During a visit to Chelsea Lately in July, Biggs confirmed the couple were expecting by showing a photo of his wife’s blossoming bosom. “Her breasts are very big these days. Would you like to know why? ‘Cause I put a baby in her belly!” he joked.

 The pair have a few low-key months before June, when both have projects hitting — the second season of Orange Is the New Black is set to premiere, while Mollen’s book, I Like You Just the Way I Am: Stories About Me and Some Other People, will be released.

Biggs and Mollen were married in April 2008.

It’s a boy for Mark Webber and Teresa Palmer!

Son Bodhi Rain arrived on Monday, Feb. 17, weighing in at 8 lbs., the Australian actress announced via Instagram.

“Thank you God for blessing us with the most divine gift of our baby son. Introducing Bodhi Rain Palmer born safely, lovingly and naturally last night. 8 lbs. even,” Palmer, 27, writes.

“Bodhi means ‘Enlightened one,’ Rain means ‘Abundant Blessings From Above’ and we chose Palmer as his last name as Mark’s [5-year-old] son Isaac didn’t take his dad’s name either.”

“Thanks for all the blessings and love everyone,” the star of zombie film Warm Bodies adds.

The couple, who announced their engagement and pregnancy news in August, were married in December in Mexico. Earlier this month, Webber, 33, a director, and Palmer wed again in a Christian ceremony in California.

Valentine’s Day brought a whole lot more than flowers and candy for Danny Masterson and Bijou Phillips!

The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Fianna Francis Masterson, on Friday, Feb. 14, the Men at Work actor and his actress/model/singer wife announced on their Instagram accounts.

Baby girl weighed 8 lbs., 5 oz. and measured 21 inches long.

“Hello friends. Beyond thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter Fianna Francis Masterson! Mom and baby are doing amazing. You can all refer to me as dj dadpants from now on,” Masterson, 37, captions a photo of him snuggling his sleeping newborn.

It’s another boy!

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green recently welcomed their second son together, PEOPLE confirms.

Born Wednesday, Feb. 12, the couple named their son Bodhi Ransom Green, TMZ reports.

The newborn joins big brothers Noah Shannon, 16 months, and Kassius, 11, Green’s son from his previous relationship with Vanessa Marcil.

During his wife’s pregnancy — which the couple announced in August — Green, 40, quickly learned the secret to keeping his household running smoothly.

“I just do whatever she asks for and I say ‘Yes,’ no matter what it may be,” he joked to reporters in September.

In November, Fox, 27, told PEOPLE the couple’s firstborn, Noah, was “a really sensitive child,” and was hopeful he would warmly welcome the family’s newest addition.

“I think that he’s going to be a nurturer. It’s a lot to expect … I think he’s going to be an amazing big brother with time,” she said.

But Green wasn’t so sure. “He is either going to be great or … he’s going to be completely against it and it will be a battle,” he joked.

It’s a girl for Daphne Oz!

The Chew host, 28, welcomed her first child with husband John Jovanovic on Wednesday, Feb. 26 in New York City, her rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.

The new addition arrived at at 10:03 p.m., weighing in at 6 lbs., 13 oz. and is 20.5 inches long.

“Mom and baby are doing very well. We feel so blessed,” Jovanovic tells PEOPLE.

The couple are not releasing their daughter’s name at this time.

Oz, who announced her pregnancy on the show in September, told PEOPLE in December that she wasn’t finding out the sex of her baby until the delivery.

“Everything will be a surprise,” she explained, divulging that she’s planned a “luscious” cream-colored and white nursery for the little one. “If I found out by accident, I wouldn’t care, but I’m not going to ask.”

“It’s gone so fast,” Oz said of her first pregnancy. “Every bit of it has been an adventure and a lot of fun. I had a bit of morning sickness in the beginning but other than that it’s been such a breeze.”

An added bonus for being a host on ABC’s daytime food show? “I come to work and get fed delicious food! Chicken wings and cake at 9 a.m.? It’s a pregnant lady’s dream,” she jokes.

Oz also revealed that preparing for baby strengthened her union with her husband of three years.

“I didn’t feel like my husband and I could be any more in love,” she says. “Being pregnant, it has made our relationship so much better and just deeper. We are so connected now. And that’s been so much fun because it was such an unanticipated and special result.”

Gabriel Macht is suiting up for daddy duty — again!

The Suits star and his wife, actress Jacinda Barrett, have welcomed their second child, their rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.

Son Luca joins big sister Satine, 6½, dog Lucky and 10 koi fish, their rep tells PEOPLE in a statement, adding that, ”the family is over the moon.”

Following the birth of their daughter, Barrett, 41, told PEOPLE, “It’s amazing. Just seeing her every day … she’s just started smiling, and it’s just the simplest thing, a smile.”

Macht, 42, and Barrett, who will appear on The Following this season and star in an upcoming untitled Netflix series, were married in December 2004.

Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani welcomed their third son together on Friday, the musicians confirm.

“Welcome Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale 2/28/14,” Rossdale announced via Twitter Saturday. “Bowie and Flynn = [our] mothers’ maiden names.”

Rossdale, 48, and Stefani’s new baby boy joins big brothers Zuma Nesta Rock, 5½, and Kingston James McGregor, 7½.

The couple kept mostly mum on the pregnancy until Stefani, 44, started her Instagram account off with a surprise in January, revealing her brood of boys would be growing by one.

“I was ready to hand over the crown. But I guess I am still queen of the house. #itsaboy #surroundedbyboys,” she captioned a shot of her sporting a crown.

Shortly after her announcement, the No Doubt frontwoman proved she was effortlessly incorporating her growing belly into her signature sexy style by sharing a selfie of her all-black outfit.

It’s a boy for Thandie Newton!

The Rogue star, 41, and her husband, writer, director and producer Ol Parker, welcomed their third child on Monday, March 3, she announced via Twitter.

“Our baby boy is finally here! Booker Jombe Parker. Born joyously at home yesterday,” Newton wrote Tuesday.

The luck of the … Bachelor?

After a few false alarms, Jesse Csincsak and his wife, Ann, welcomed a daughter on Monday, March 17 in Colorado, the new dad tells PEOPLE.

Shortly after baby girl’s birth, Csincsak announced her arrival via Instagram.

“Today we welcomed Charlotte Jeanne Csincsak into the world! Our lives will forever be changed! We are so excited!!” the former Bachelorette winner writes.

Born at 8:03 a.m., Csincsak’s daughter weighed in at 7 lbs., 6 oz. and is 19¾ inches long.

“Ann is just resting and Charlotte just had her bath. We’re good!” he tells PEOPLE. “Noah is on his way to meet his baby sister right now.”

The couple, who are also parents to 3-year-old son Noah Theodore, have been counting down the days to their daughter’s birth since confirming the pregnancy in September.

But before her big debut on St. Patrick’s Day, baby girl had her parents thinking she would be making an early arrival — on more than one occasion.

“Well we got sent home from the hospital and are at home still having contractions but no baby yet,” Csincsak shared on his Instagram account in February.

Before announcing the sex of their baby on the way, Csincsak admitted his Bachelor alum wife was looking forward to having a girl.

“I am hoping for a boy, but I’m sure Ann is secretly hoping for a girl to one day take over the fashion business she is building,” he joked.

Newly signed New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker and his wife, country singer Jessie James, welcomed their first child on Tuesday morning, March 18, E! News confirms.

“Jessie went into the hospital yesterday at 3:30 p.m. and at 5:36 a.m. this morning, Vivianne Rose Decker was born, weighing 8 lbs., 2 oz. with a full head of hair!” a rep says, adding baby girl measured 20 inches.

“Both mom and daughter are doing well.”

“What an amazing, life altering experience! A day of extreme intensity that is filled with raw emotion!” Decker posted to his Instagram account. “I am a PROUD husband of such an incredibly tough and loving wife! I am a PROUD daddy to God’s greatest gift on earth, my little princess!”

In September, the Eric & Jessie: Game On reality couple announced they were expecting a baby, later confirming they were thinking pink.

But it didn’t take long for the parents-to-be to decide on a name for their daughter.

“We knew that we wanted this name even before we knew it was a girl,” James, who got sexy with her bump — and Decker — in a GQ spread, said at the time.

It’s back to diaper duty for Josh Holloway.

The Intelligence star and his wife Yessica welcomed their second child, son Hunter Lee, in February, PEOPLE confirms.

“We’re calmer, which makes everything better. Your first one, you’re definitely full of fear,” the actor, 44, told the Associated Press.

As for how Holloway is faring with sleep, “My wife’s a rock star,” he tells E! News.

The couple are already parents to 4½-year-old daughter Java Kumala.

“She’s something else,” the former Lost star told PEOPLE in December of his daughter. “She had her first piano recital the other day, so I’m very proud.”

Before their baby boy was born, Holloway raved about his “weeble wobble” wife.

Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky have welcomed twin sons, their rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The baby boys were born in Los Angeles. No further information is being released at this time.

The actors are already parents to daughter India Rose, 22 months.

The Thor star, 30, and his Spanish wife, 37, have both spoken about how parenthood has changed them.

“It makes it harder and harder to leave and go to work,” Hemsworth told PEOPLE last year. “Being a father is certainly a task. But the best one that I could ever ask for.”

Evelyn Lozada has officially gone from diamonds to diapers!

The Basketball Wives star, 38, and her fiancé, Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Carl Crawford, welcomed a son on Saturday, March 22, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

Born at 3:55 a.m., the couple’s new addition weighed in at 8 lbs. and measured 21 inches long. With Crawford by her side, Lozada delivered her son naturally in just four pushes.

“It was very quick and Evelyn is happy because she was super nervous,” her rep tells PEOPLE. “Baby boy is so handsome and she can’t wait to reveal him to the world.”

In a Tweet posted Saturday afternoon, Lozada wrote, “I have EXCITING NEWS! Thank you God for my blessing!”

In November, six months into her pregnancy, Lozada confirmed to PEOPLE that she was expecting her second child, a sibling for Shaniece, her 20-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.

“I’m excited about being a mommy all over again. This is something I’ve been wanting for years and I can’t believe it’s finally happening,” she said at the time.

Although the mom-to-be initially kept the identity of the baby’s father a secret, she and Crawford later got engaged over the holidays.
