David Nail is a dad!
The country singer and his wife Catherine welcomed twins, a boy and a girl, on Saturday, Dec. 12, his rep confirms to PEOPLE.
Son Lawson Brent Nail was born at 7:44 a.m., weighing in at 6 lbs., 2 oz., while daughter Lillian Catherine Nail arrived at 7:45 a.m., weighing 5 lbs., 14 oz.

The “Whatever She’s Got” singer and Catherine, who wed in 2009, broke the news about her pregnancy in November when they hit the red carpet at the CMA Awards.
At the time, Nail revealed to PEOPLE that Catherine could give birth “any minute now, but hopefully in the next four weeks.”
“We struggled with infertility for years and really just had to stick together to get through it,” Catherine added.

The pair is already getting parenting advice, and said they’re taking it in stride.
“Everyone tells us instincts take over and that’s what we’re hoping,” Nail, whose new album Fighter will be released in early 2016, said.
